Consignor FAQs

Click on this link to be taken to the registration page: rihomeschool.com/consignor. When you register you will receive an email from us with your seller number. This page will also provide more information about tags, tagging instructions, and drop off information.

The sale is a wonderful way to recycle items used in your homeschool setting. We accept curriculum, books, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles, manipulatives, etc. Due to space limitations, we can not accept sports equipment, computer hardware, furniture, or other large items. Any inappropriate or offensive items will be set aside and not put on the sale tables.

Pricing is left up to the discretion of each seller. Your selling price should reflect the condition and age of the item to be sold. Older curriculum and heavily used items especially need to be “priced to sell” or you will take them home with you.

Unfortunately, because of space limitations and confusion with check out, we do not have a free table or area. Typically in September, there is an opportunity to bring free items to the Back to School Picnic & Trunk Show.

Yes! You may have another registered seller drop off your items on Friday, but you must indicate this on the Seller Registration Form. If someone is dropping off your items, you do not need to sign up for a drop off time. They will bring your items along with their items at their drop off time.

Items that do not sell MUST be picked up at the designated pick-up time on the day of the sale or your sales check will be withheld. On Friday you will have the opportunity to let us know whether your items will be picked up by you, a friend, your spouse, etc…

Within three weeks of the sale, sellers will receive a check in the mail for the proceeds of their items sold, minus ten percent (10%) of the sale price of each item sold, which is donated to RIGHT to help cover sale expenses.

Volunteer FAQs

Yes, we ask that all volunteers be RIGHT members. You can sign up to become a RIGHT member by using the JOIN NOW button at the top our our website.

Volunteering is a great way to get to meet other homeschoolers and become familiar with the layout of the sale. As a thank you, all volunteers who are registered  prior to the sale, can shop from 8:30-9:30AM; before the sale opens to the general public! Also this year, sellers who volunteer, only have 5% of their sales taken instead of 10%.

Four time slots are available. Two the day before the sale and two the day of the sale:

  • Friday 9:00am-12:00pm and 12:00-3:00pm
  • Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm

Volunteer tasks vary depending on the time and day that you volunteer. Friday volunteers typically help receive, sort, distribute, set up, and organize books. During the sale hours on Saturday, volunteers direct and assist shoppers, as well as straightening items. After the sale on Saturday, volunteers help sort unsold books, break down tables, and clean up.

You can register to volunteer by going to www.rihomeschool.com/volunteer

Yes, children aged 10 & older may volunteer with a parent. Please DO NOT create a separate login for children. Please DO email ucs@rihomeschool.com to let the volunteer coordinator know you are bringing your child(ren).  Before signing your child up to help, please consider if your child has the ability to help carry, sort, and organize books for multiple hours without causing disruptions.

No, please sign up for a drop off time slot just before or after your volunteer time slot.

We do not allow food or drinks in the room with the sale items, since we wouldn’t want an accidental spill to ruin anyone’s items. There is a separate room where you can store food or drinks, but we’d prefer you to eat before or after your volunteer time slot.

If you have a question that wasn’t addressed here, please email ucs@rihomeschool.com
