Rhode Island Guild of Home Teachers (RIGHT) is a statewide, member supported, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been serving the needs and protecting the rights of homeschoolers since 1987. RIGHT is an all-volunteer homeschool organization led by a a voting Governing Board composed of Officers and Chapter Representatives. RIGHT is committed to the advancement of home education and to protecting every family’s right to homeschool their children.  RIGHT considers it part of its mission to support homeschooling as an educational choice. RIGHT serves all homeschoolers, regardless of religious or philosophical beliefs and membership is open to all.

Mission

RIGHT is an organization of families committed to educational excellence and freedom. The goals of RIGHT are to promote home education for those wishing to teach their children at home and to support efforts that protect parental authority and educational freedom. RIGHT believes every family has the constitutional and moral right to educate their children. RIGHT operates on the basis of Biblical principles by upholding the Judeo-Christian ethic.

What We Do

• Coordinate state and local events and activities.
• Offer advice and support to parents.
• Inform and help families understand the laws governing home education in RI.
• Monitor state and national legislation related to home education.
• Advocate on behalf of the Rhode Island homeschool community at the state and local level.
• Inform homeschooling families of legislative and policy changes related to home education.
