ALL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE FULL! Registration is now closed!
This sale is 100% dependent on volunteers! Volunteers who sign up by June 22nd are allowed to shop for one hour prior to the sale opening to the public and have first choice of items. It is also a great way to help children (age 10 and up) develop a servant's heart while learning valuable skills. Most of all, it's a wonderful way to share in the fellowship of being part of the group that makes a big event happen. REMEMBER, SIGN-UP DEADLINE IS JUNE 22, 2012.
Volunteer the day before the sale:
These volunteers will help receive, sort, distribute, set up, and organize books on Friday, June 29th. We appreciate cheerful people who like to make things neat! However, this time is not intended as an early shopping opportunity.
Volunteer the day of the sale:
We also need volunteers to help staff the sale on Saturday, June 30th. These volunteers will be directing shoppers and assisting those with needs, keeping books neat in assigned areas, assisting with breakdown (after the sale) and cleaning up. Please wear appropriate clothing.
Volunteer times available:
Friday: 8:30AM - 11:30AM, 11:30AM - 2:30PM
Saturday: 10AM - 1 PM, 1 PM - 4 PM
Please strongly consider your volunteer hours. Children 10 and up may help accompanied by a parent except for the Friday 11:30AM - 2:30 PM time slot. Please sign them up separately from your registration so they can have their own early shopping pass. Teens, strong and willing to serve are encouraged to help. There will be needs for sorting and shelving books, books, and more books, transportation of books for buyers, etc.
While we gladly accept on-site volunteers, however, only volunteers who have signed up in advance and are scheduled to work three hours, are eligible to shop early on the sale date. Each volunteer will be given their own pass which is required for admittance to the early shopping hour.
We would appreciate cell phone use be kept to emergencies only.
