About RIGHT

RIGHT is an all-volunteer Christian-run group of approximately 250 homeschooling families.  We are a 501c3 and RI non-profit.  Our support groups are organized into chapters representing geographical locations.

Our Executive board consists of 5 officers: State Coordinator, Chapter Coordinator, Treasurer, Secretary, and Legislative Director and each of the currently nine Chapter Leaders are also part of a voting Governing Board.  The Board as a whole makes decisions regarding the use of RIGHT funds and coordinates events and activities for our members. 

"Membership has its privileges." Members can participate in RIGHT sponsored events such as holiday parties, talent shows, zoo classes, teen opportunities, ice skating, art shows, as well as National events such as the geography bee, speech and debate competitions, and math competitions.

RIGHT's chapters provide support, fellowship, and encouragement. Chapters organize activities such as field trips, play days, and mom's meetings.

State-wide activities, chapter activities, local events of interest to homeschoolers, and advertisements for tutoring and small specialized classes are included in RIGHT's newsletter the Home Spun News (subscription included in RIGHT membership.)

We also use the Home Spun News and the RIGHT email list to alert our members of legislation that could be detrimental (or helpful) to the cause of homeschooling and parental authority. Our Legislative Director keeps a keen eye on RI decisionmakers for us.

Annual dues are $25 ($25 + $1 if paid online due to transaction fees!) per family. To become a member simply send a check payable to RIGHT, PO Box 432, Coventry RI 02816 with a note that this is for new membership.  Or you may join now, using Paypal.
